What are UC’s doing to increase Diversity

The UC system is striving to Increase diversity among its faculty, staff, and student body. Here are six ways in which the UC system are achieving their goals.

  • Federal Designations – Allow the UC system to enroll more students from underrepreseted communities.
  • Increased Graduation Rate – In 2022, the UC System celebrated it’s most diverse graduating class in 154 years.
  • Admissions policies that look beyond grades and test scores.
  • Early outreach at the middle school level.
  • Expanding community outreach.
  • Recruit and Retain a Diverse Faculty – The aim is to make UC faculty more representative of California’s student diversity.
