LEARN. LEAD. CREATE.

A Comprehensive Educational Experience for Tomorrow’s Scholars

The Collegiate Ascendancy Initiative (CAI) brings together rigorous academics, college preparation, leadership development, cultural fluency, and creative expression to help students develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and vision to pursue their highest aspirations. Our programs are designed to meet students where they are—and help them discover where they can go.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Find your voice. Develop your influence. Lead with purpose.

Leadership at CAI begins with self-awareness and grows through experience.

Students learn how to communicate ideas, navigate differences, collaborate with others, solve problems, make decisions, and accept responsibility.

Leadership experiences may include:

  • Student leadership
  • Team-building
  • Public speaking
  • Communication
  • Decision-making
  • Conflict resolution
  • Project leadership
  • Professional development
  • Community engagement
  • Ethical leadership

Students are encouraged to understand that leadership is not simply a position.

Leadership is the ability to create positive movement in yourself, your team, your community, and the world around you.

CULTURAL & GLOBAL FLUENCY

Understand the world. Engage the world.

Today’s students will study, work, communicate, and lead in increasingly diverse and interconnected environments.

CAI helps students develop the ability to understand perspectives beyond their own and engage thoughtfully across cultures, communities, and experiences.

Students explore:

  • Culture and identity
  • Global perspectives
  • Community and belonging
  • History and context
  • Communication across differences
  • Cultural awareness
  • Civic engagement
  • Social responsibility

We believe cultural fluency is not simply about learning about other people.

It is about developing the curiosity, humility, and confidence to learn with and from others.

FILM & STORYTELLING

CAI FILM & STORYTELLING INSTITUTE

Students don’t just learn. They create.

The CAI Film & Storytelling Institute brings academic learning and creative expression together through filmmaking, storytelling, media, and production.

Students learn to:

  • Develop original ideas
  • Research and develop stories
  • Write screenplays
  • Create characters
  • Explore visual storytelling
  • Direct and produce
  • Work as a creative team
  • Use media responsibly
  • Develop original productions
  • Present their work to an audience

Film becomes more than an artistic activity.

It becomes a vehicle for developing academic mastery, social intelligence, cultural fluency, and ethical leadership.

Students learn that powerful storytelling requires more than creativity.

It requires discipline, research, perspective, collaboration, courage, and purpose.

From Story to Screen

Students may progress from:

IDEA → RESEARCH → STORY → SCRIPT → PRODUCTION → EDITING → PREMIERE

The goal is to give students the opportunity to discover not only how to tell a story—but why the story matters.
